Hi all! I'm currently using my sister's work laptop. My desktop is still sick, bless its bloody soul. If this post made it to the published front, this would be 2 days short of a whole month of nil blogging. I know, it's almost unbelievable. Macam sungguh bedek gitu.
I'm doing my last block of clinical attachment now, at a renal ward. Would be the last few days here; hopping over to the operating theatre next week. Been speed-reading your blogs, most of yours, but hadn't the luxury of time to tag a hello at your respective boards so this entry serves as a shout out to yous okay. Had gotten in contact with a few long-lost friends from years before, say primary and secondary schools and i owe them time. Said gonna catch up with them one day (says me to many more other friends, heh) but i'm really so sorry. If there's a better word to replace the oft-used 'busy' status, i would. But y'know it'll only mean the same thing, that my given 24 hours is equivalent to my height - i.e. short.
Fellow PRCP students would have differing experiences training as staff nurses for sure, and i'm not saying i have it easier than others nor am i complaining that i'm highly stressed as if i'm the only one facing this, but i'm thankful for the ward i'm in, the preceptor i'm assigned to, the other staff i'm working with and everything else. It doesn't matter that zits are popping up all over my face like nobody's business (indeed it isn't) , or that my shoes are soaked like sampan bocor after showering patients and then stinking up the whole air-conditioned room, or that i'm this close to giving up when i'm hours lagging behind with reports unwritten and interventions unimplemented as yet, or that my microscopic existence as a mere student nurse is further minimised when i'm around or speaking to doctors. Like, seriously what does a student nurse have to say (a lot actually, but mostly irrelevant)?
At this rate, perhaps i'm involuntarily adopting a Type A personality. Touchwood!
I have so much to say but i'm holding back just as much. For inexplicable reasons.
Okay dah. Lazybug bit me and i can write no more. Will be back soon. Taa!
