earth to...
I want us all to sit in a circle in a room and talk. All of us - friends, acquaintances, former schoolmates, blog readers, everyone that matter. The only rule imposed would be one which forbids anyone to stand up from their seat - omission of rule would encourage disaster. Go figure.

People don't talk nowadays, people don't listen. I don't know which is the cause, which is the effect. But the repercussions have a ripple effect and as much as you may not like it, you're affected too. I'm not listening because you're not talking proper, you're not talking because you know i'm not listening. I get frustrated. I'm sure you do, too.

Communication is important, they say. Almost everyone has said/heard of this at least once in their lifetime hence it has joined the list of world's favourite cliches but y'know that when something is repetitive, it either loses its meaning or it'll grow on you. Most of the time, it grows on you and then loses its meaning.

With Friendster and mushrooming blogs, the world just gets smaller and smaller. Bad news for claustrophobics like me. I get rimas, y'know. And when i happened to kaypo-kaypo around (read: bloghop), i get this strange feeling when i am the unestablished, the unknown link to two parties. People blog about their Mondays, they blog about who they met on Thursday, they blog about blogging. But there're missing links in between, like what happened when they said goodbye to Sophie after dinner on Saturday. Well, Sophie went home and bumped into Ali and they took bus service 63 together. They're neighbours. Ali is my friend's brother, who is the ex-boyfriend-now-just-a-friend of Ressa, the lovelorn friend of Hanna, who's my former secondary schoolmate. They blog about what they don't know, mainly speculations, but i know more 'cause i read all their blogs and there are times when i think it would help if they know certains things which they're not aware of. But which i know. BUT. It goes without saying that it's none of my beeswax. Just... y'know, it amazes me when i imagine that people know alot about you even before you know them. I'm not paranoid, just intrigued. And so excitinggg!

My point is, and this is just an observation, that the smaller your world is, the lesser you communicate. Or the more you experience communication breakdowns. And that, as the say, sucks.
