walk the talk
I've been listening to alot of The Cranberries lately, which isn't a bad thing really. It's one of my favourite bands. But Dolores doesn't sing empty, and her words paint images far more vivid than the popping visuals i get every now and then before i fall asleep. And i sing along, but my words contain basically empty air.

The little cousins were here today for our first iftar, together with aunts, uncle and most importantly my grandma. The kids' parents are going through a bitter battle, and as expected, the kids suffer. However, they still do have a roof over their heads and enough food to eat, clothes to wear and are still able to attend school. In short, they're doing far better than their peers elsewhere here and across continents.

It's not what you have, but what you have that others don't. And for that, don't just thank God for what you've been blessed with. Instead, extend your prayers to those (children especially)... okay no, extend your prayers to everyone.

Spend your Ramadhan wisely, dear people. Don't forget those who are not here with us. Happy eating at Maghrib, but don't forget that not everyone's as fortunate as us.
