Went home together, we took the bus. It was a single-deck; Mom told me to climb atop the bus since i wanted to sit on the upper-deck so much. My eyes haha-ed her and her eyes went nyehh at me. Only Kakak seemed content enough to have a seat. So were we actually, 'cause ten minutes into the journey, we were long gone in deep deep slumber. Before that, i had another "Cinderella" incident again. Twice or thrice on the bus from school, in front of Moo and Shid and Jun. I dropped my right shoe on the passenger steps and caused a small passenger-traffic jam. Small only la, compared to the embarrassment of having to bend down and pick your shoe up while limping all the way to your seat and having your mom gawking at you in half-amusement and half-disbelief (i guess she couldn't believe how much of a kuku brain i was). Kakak was a few steps behind and she, expectedly, was guffawing. Oh i'm so glad something amuses her. AT MY EXPENSE. When i sleep on buses or trains, i take painful care to ensure my mouth doesn't gape wide open and strictly no drooling. It happened once in secondary school (i was alone, thank the Lord!) and i sure as hell don't want it happening again. But being around your family members sort of gives you a sense of security and comfort and self-consciousness is automatically kept to a minimum. So after ten minutes of catching up on one anothers' respective days at work and school, we just spaced out and zonked off. All three of us, yes. I had the unfortunate seat which faces the back of the bus and the rest of the commuters. And i had the misfortune of being too darn tired and sleepy that my mouth just hung open like a venus trap and horror of horrors -- i was drooling!!! Ever so slightly but enough to jolt me from my slumber and apparent enough for everyone to witness me wiping my stickehh drool off the side of my mouth and subsequently digging frantically into my satchel pocket for some tissue. My thick skin betrayed me today -- i was downright embarrassed. What made it worse was that the bus was fully packed like obese sardines in a mini can. I nudged Kakak and told her what happened, she nudged Mom in turn and told her, Mom laughed it off and... went back to sleep. -_- But embarrassment lasted several seconds only. Right after i've cleared the fluids of embarrassment, i went back to sleep too. Hahahaha! I never learn, do i. [I've been feeling really lethargic lately, i wonder why.] fara // 00:11 |
