Forgiving Lyla
What happened to Forgiving Lyla?
She can only forget, that much she remembers.
What happened to goodness and every dancing Teddy Graham on the kitchen counter?
The last cookie in the jar, the last seat on the bus, the time left for only one,
Lyla stays last. Always, until now.
Tragedy struck in the middle of 12,
a blow to Lyla the aura.
Lyla knows but naught.
She can only forget now, that much remembers.
And the bites, the cold hard frostbites. Lyla kills and leaves for she
can only forget, that much she knows.
Lyla can't see the door, and she bangs hard at the air
but she's not inside.
Like broken Teddy Grahams, Lyla crumbles.
"What happened to forgiving Lyla?"
she cries.
